Loki Studio

Privacy policy for a local-first AI workspace.

Effective September 4, 2026. Loki Studio is a Windows AI workspace published by Casually Amused. It is designed to keep your work on your device by default.

Local processing

Your workspace stays under your control.

Loki Studio can process prompts, chat history, goals, project files, images, audio, video, generated outputs, coding-workspace contents, and local-model settings that you choose to provide. By default, this material is stored and processed locally on your Windows device.

Optional connections

Connected services are opt-in.

You may configure optional web search, hosted language models, image or video services, voice services, or plug-ins. When you explicitly use one, the request and only the content needed for that action may be sent to that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Loki Studio does not send your workspace contents to an optional provider merely because it appears in Settings.

Credentials & sharing

Keys and exports remain deliberate actions.

Configured API keys are stored using Windows-protected local storage or read from environment variables you choose. They are not included in shared chats, exported conversations, or diagnostic reports unless you deliberately disclose them. Loki Studio sends, exports, uploads, or shares material only when you initiate the relevant action.

Retention & deletion

You control your locally stored data.

You can archive or permanently delete chats, attachments, project data, generated files, backups, and settings through Loki Studio or Windows. Deleting local data does not remove data previously sent to a third-party service at your request; review that provider’s policy for its retention rules.
